Crooners Supper Club in Fridley Looking for Young Comedians looking to learn and perform at the festival!
Jun 21-24
Event Producer; Randy Lubas
Loons on the Lake Comedy Festival Producer, internationally touring Headline Comedian for over 40 years. And also manages a couple of young Comedians. One Olivia Harewood, who just finished a three year contract writing for the Late Late Show on CBS, and another, Kyle Erby who just co-starred on the last three episodes of Call me Katt on Fox. Discovered them both while he was producing the Ventura Comedy Festival, which I did for nine years.
He also taught standup comedy workshops over the years and one of his students was Trevor Wallace who took his workshop when he was 17 years old. He has since become a youtube sensation and is selling out theaters all over the country.
He wants to et students into the Festival as a great way for them to get a taste of the exhilarating and thrilling experience of doing standup comedy.
If you are a student who would like to put together a 3-5 minute standup set, he is willing to coach and mentor you to perform on one of the shows in the Festival. He would be available on Monday and Tuesday, June 19 and 20 to do this.
As a bonus, they are willing to offer the school up to 50 tickets to sell for the show each student is in, and keep half the proceeds for our theatre program.
If you are interested please let Eric Webster know and he will put you in contact with Mr. Lubas and the event coordinators.
